Megan Crawford - Life Membership
Megan first joined Olympic Dam in 2012 as a netball player. By 2013, she took on the role of Vice President for the Netball Committee, which was then separate from the Olympic Dam Sporting Club (ODSC) Committee. When the committees merged in 2014, she served as the Netball Representative alongside Harriet Schuyler until 2020, when she transitioned to the Merchandise role while continuing to support the netball representatives.
Megan is the first player to reach 150 netball games for Olympic Dam. As Netball Rep, she was instrumental in growing the club, helping to field five teams before the impact of COVID-19. She has coached the A-grade team in 2019 and 2022, and the B-grade team in 2018, 2019, and from 2021 to 2024. Her achievements include winning the B-grade Best and Fairest in 2014 and 2017, and being a part of the 2020 premiership team.
In addition to coaching, Megan often runs training sessions for all teams and handles numerous behind-the-scenes tasks, ensuring smooth operations on game day. This includes organising uniforms, sourcing umpires, arranging scorers and timers, and ensuring the club adheres to the Roxby Downs Netball Association bylaws. She has also organised various activities and events to engage and involve the netball players with the club.
An active and experienced committee member, Megan is always ready to assist others and support her fellow committee members. Her dedication was recognised when she won the Patron Award in 2019.
We congratulate Megan on her Life Membership and look forward to her continuing involvement with our mighty club.
